In January, we welcomed Mrs Helen Bohm to the position of Marketing and Enrolments Officer. Although new to the role, Helen is very familiar with the College – she is a past student who graduated back in 1998 as “Helen Hughes”.
After spending the last few years in Brisbane in a marketing management position, Helen and her family (husband Richard and two sons, Jesse and Ryan) were thrilled to have the opportunity to move back to the area and once again enjoy the comforts of country living. Helen was even more thrilled at the prospect of taking up a position at her old school. ‘I am very happy to be here,’ Helen says. ‘I have some fantastic school memories from when I attended here back in the late 90s and some great friends that I made while I was a student here – I am very much looking forward to promoting the College and all the wonderful things it has to offer.’
‘The first term here at SCOTS has been excellent, although I am quickly learning that the school working environment is very different to private industry – in a good way! I am really enjoying getting to know our students and their families.’
Helen will focus her efforts on marketing and promoting the College and is developing strategies to target growth in enrolments – especially boarding. ‘The SCOTS facilities are nothing short of excellent. The feedback we receive from touring families is that our boarding facilities are up there with the best they have seen. If we combine this with some of the other great features, like our on campus equestrian centre, expansive agricultural offering and the College‘s strong country values, we provide families with an education choice they cannot refuse.’
